Originally titled, “Rather Handsome than Beautiful,” our plans for this solo exhibition of works by wylie garcia were upended by the covid-19 epidemic. aptly renamed to reflect the times, “things Feel So Different Now,” began its run as Soapbox Arts’ first virtual exhibition.
so we’re dID things a little differently! We love the powerful reveal of a new body of work that in-person opening receptions offer to an artist and their audience. since we couldn’t pop bottles with you just yet, we wanted to keep the mystery (and excitement!) alive by releasing new paintings in small batches.
We are so excited to announce that beginning june 11th, we’re welcoming visitors back to the gallery to experience Wylie’s work in person. The gallery will be open Thursday-Saturday from 11am - 5pm, but if a private preview is more your vibe, send us an email to set up a time to visit!
